Introduction

Welcome to Alpen. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our task management and productivity application. By using Alpen, you agree to these Terms.

If you don't agree with these Terms, please don't use our service.

The Service

Alpen is a task management application that helps you organize your work and integrate with your calendar. We provide the service as-is and work to make it reliable and useful, but we can't guarantee it will always be perfect or available 100% of the time.

Your Account

• You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
• You're responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Alpen.
• You may not use Alpen for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

Your Data

You retain all rights to the data you create and store in Alpen. This includes your tasks, notes, projects, and any other content you add to the service.

By using Alpen, you grant us permission to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing you with the service. We don't claim any ownership over your data.

You can request an export of your data or delete your data at any time. To export your data, please contact us and we'll work with you to provide your data in a usable format. When you delete your account, we'll delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
• Use the service to transmit malware, spam, or harmful content
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the service

Google Calendar Integration

When you connect your Google Calendar to Alpen, you authorize us to access your calendar data as described in our Privacy Policy.

You can revoke this access at any time through your Google Account settings. If you revoke access, calendar integration features will stop working. This means that we will not sync with external calendars. However, you will still be able to access your calendar data through the Alpen web application.

Service Availability

We work hard to keep Alpen running smoothly, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to perform maintenance, updates, or deal with unexpected issues that could temporarily affect availability.

We're not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions, though we'll do our best to minimize them.

Changes to the Service

We may add, change, or remove features from Alpen at any time. We'll try to notify you of significant changes, but we're not obligated to do so.

If we make changes you don't like, you can stop using the service and delete your account.

Termination

You can stop using Alpen and delete your account at any time.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that could harm us or other users.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Alpen is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the service will meet your specific needs, be error-free, or always be available.

You use the service at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether direct or indirect, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the service
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or your data
• Any interruption or cessation of the service
• Any bugs, viruses, or similar issues transmitted through the service
• Any errors or omissions in any content

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

Your continued use of Alpen after changes to the Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
